The Mirror of Human Life: An Imaginary Opera by Jacquet de la Guerre (NJ)

It's not very often that Le Parnasse's leadership all unanimously agrees about musical taste... but our fall season opening concert is a rare exception! Join us October 2nd and 3rd as we present the works of one of our favorite composers. Élisabeth Jacquet's dramatic, opera-like cantatas are presented alongside the equally theatrical instrumental works of François Couperin. The two composers were close friends who shared a mutual admiration for each other's music - we are excited to bring them to you in "The Mirror of Human Life"!
