About the event
Philly-based early music group Ensemble Le Parnasse concludes their inaugural season with a tribute to the theatrical genius of Handel. This program features solo cantatas, a harpsichord concerto, and incidental music and choral extracts from the 1735 pastoral opera Parnasso in Festa. Equal parts intimate and bombastic, Le Parnasse brings the high drama of the opera theater to an intimate salon setting with “Mr. Handel’s Little Theatre : A Pasticcio in Three Acts”!
