Saints, Sinners, & Shepherds. La Fiocco with Soprano Laura Heimes
Celebrated soprano Laura Heimes and baritone Brian Ming Chu are La Fiocco's guest artists for Saints, Sinners, and Shepherds:  A Baroque Soirée.

Airs and dialogues by Henry Purcell, Henry Hall's ode on the death of Henry Purcell, William Williams' Sonata in Imitation of Birds, Vivaldi's concerto for recorder, violins, and bassoon, sacred music of Petrus Brehy, instrumental music of Caldara Handel's spectacular cantata Armida Abbandonata.

The Gloria Consort* will present a program of music by Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767) and his contemporaries J. S. Bach, Arcangelo Corelli, John Loeillet, and Andrew Parcham.  Kenton Meyer, baroque flute and recorder, Orum Stringer, voice flute and recorder, Elizabeth Horn, viola da gamba, and Ernest Meyer, harpsichord.

Recorder players of all levels are invited to the Highland Park Recorder Society’s monthly playing session on Monday, December 4, 2017, 7-9 P.M with guest conductor Gene Morrow. Please arrive at 6:30 with your instruments and music stand to set up in the Parlor Room of the Reformed Church of Highland Park, 19 South Second Ave., Highland Park, NJ. Free parking in back of the church reached via Magnolia Street, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. ADA handicapped accessible.

Riverview Early Music* presents The Riverview Consort in a program entitled "Now Winter Nights: Carols by Candlelight," a delightful performance of Christmas favorites and forgotten gems in the magical acoustic of the 1867 Sanctuary. The Riverview Consort (Abigail Chapman, soprano, John Burkhalter, recorders, and John Lacombe, lutes, will take your breath away with hauntingly beautiful melodies from the Middle Ages and Renaissance, as well as delicate arrangements of more modern favorites. From familiar tunes like "What Child is This?" (originally the lute-song "Greensleeves") to lesser known songs like "Now Winter Nights" (originally published in 1617, but possibly your new favorite holiday song), this sublime evening in the candlelit 1867 Sanctuary is sure to be the perfect escape from seasonal hustle and bustle.  Enjoy a sample of their music at
