Dryden Ensemble - Johann Sebastian Bach Concert
Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 7:30 PM, Doylestown, PA

The Dryden Ensemble will perform a concert of music by J. S. Bach at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 54 East Oakland Avenue at Pine Street (two blocks off Main Street), Doylestown, PA.

The concert is a tribue to Bill Scheide, Bach scholar and patron of the arts, featuring Ich habe genug (BWV 82) and glorious arias for bass, oboes, strings, and organ, Richard Lalli, baritone soloist.

Baratz & harpsichordist Sean Price in a program of music written between 1680 and 1730 for recorder and harpsichord.  Works by Van Eyck, Loeillet, Handel, Telemann, and Bach.  Suggested donation $20 to benefit the St. Andrew's Church music program. On Thursday, May 29, at  7PM, viol consort La Spirita** presents:  "Come Away: A Musical Journey to Renaissance Europe and Beyond." Lawrence Branch of the Mercer County Library 2751 Brunswick Pike, at Darrah Lane Lawrenceville, NJ.    Free admission .

An eclectic program for viols and voice of Renaissance polyphony interspersed with Baroque favorites (Bach, Pachelbel, Vitali) and a contemporary composition. Due to a hand injury, Kathleen Spencer will not be able to perform this program. We are pleased and grateful to be joined by our good friend Donna Fournier on bass viol.
