Practitioners of Musick,** Mr. Handel at Home - Skillman, NJ, 8:00 PM

May 20, 2010 Practitioners of Musick, John Burkhalter, recorders and harpsichordist Donovan Klotzbeacher, will offer a program entitled "Mr. Handel at Home" in conjunction with the 2010 Princeton Festival performance of George Frideric Handel's opera ARIODANTE. The 8:00 PM performance with commentary featuring "chamber airs" taken from Ariodante and other theatrical productions will take place at "Stonebridge," 100 Hollinshead Spring Road, Skillman, New Jersey. Le Triomphe de l’amour** performs music from 18th-century Venice, including Vivaldi’s cantata All’ombra di sospetto and Concerto in F major, sonatas for violin and for recorder by Albinoni, and Galuppi’s virtuoso aria Di spavento as well as his harpsichord sonata in E minor.
